Logan Smith

A near-fatal truck crash in 2016 left Logan Smith, then 18 years old, a C6 and C7 quadriplegic. In just seconds, Logan’s dream to become a Navy Seals officer ended. But, although that particular dream ended, others have now replaced it. Not least of which is to walk again.

Despite his physical limitations, in 2021, Logan received two degrees from the prestigious university of Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business. One degree was in Real Estate Development Analysis, and the second was in Business Management Consulting and Analytics.

Even before graduating from VA Tech, in July of 2020, Logan joined RE/MAX8 as an inside agent/project manager/owners consultant. In March of 2022, he became a senior project manager with Virufy. Someday, he plans to continue his education by pursuing a Juris Doctorate of Law and a Masters of Business Administration in three years.

So I May Serve!

As a man of deep faith, he believes that we all have a calling in life, and everything we do serves a greater purpose than ourselves. His ability to persevere and to reach goals that many would think impossible is a testament to this faith.

GRIT Ambassador

In June 2022, Logan was honored to become a GRIT ambassador. GRIT is a company dedicated to creating the best mobility devices for those physically impaired. In their own words:

We’re an engineer-founded, mission-driven company that believes everyone deserves access to adventure. Our flagship product, the GRIT Freedom Chair, demonstrates our belief in the power of thoughtful product design done in partnership with the community we serve.

About GRIT

Logan is honored to be chosen by GRIT. As a result, he will travel to show and demonstrate how GRIT wheelchairs can take individuals to places they never thought possible.

Logan was the first GRIT Freedom Chair user to climb Stone Mountain in Georgia. Because Logan thrives on beating the odds, warnings that Stone Mountain’s rocky, straight-up trail was inaccessible to him didn’t deter him. Instead, he successfully made it from the bottom to the top in his GRIT chair.
